Before I start let me just say this … I do not normally read the bookflaps, outline or whatever you want to call it on books by authors I enjoy reading … I just buy it. With that being said … here’s the funny part. This James Patterson book is part of his teen series LOL … which I obviously didn’t know (the Witch and Wizard series, to be exact). And which really doesn’t matter since I read all of the Harry Potter books and I’m pretty sure they weren’t written for adults either.
Anyway, this book grabbed my attention in the first page … yep you read that right … the first page. I stayed glued to it for the next 5 or so hours til I finished it … reading all through the night. It reminded me a lot of George Orwell’s 1984 … a lot of similarities but a story on another path … witches and wizards sort of path …I took the witches and wizards characters in this book to be people who have learned to use that 80 percent of their brains that the rest of us have no clue how to use. It was a thriller every step of the way. It did; however, get a little confusing, to say the least, towards the end … at least what I thought was the end. The last line? To Be Continued
